Crown Sydney Luxury Casino, Hotel & Dining on Sydney Harbour
You’ll be spoilt for choice at The Star, which is home to a dozen of Sydney’s best bars. There’s the Michael Reid Art bar, a gallery that curates a coveted selection of works from local and international artists and in the evening transforms into a cocktail bar... Then there’s G&Tea, which has an incredible menu of gin cocktails, teas (and even gin and tea cocktails!). We acknowledge Gadigal Country, her lands, sea and sky, we acknowledge her custodians, the Gadigal people, their kin the Wangal, Bidjigal, Cabrogal and Cammeraygal who often visited this Country to connect and share. If you’d prefer to drive please note there is limited parking available at Crown Sydney, for hotel guests and top-tier rewards members. If parking is not available here, there’s public parking available ten minute’s walk away at Barangaroo Reserve.
I wanted to visit as soon as I glimpsed the tall silvery structure from a long way off. The casino offers a Sky Deck, and the panoramic views from up there are to die for. It was so relaxing looking at Sydney's iconic harbour while enjoying a drink from up there. You'll find a choice of cocktails, spirits, beer, or non-alcoholic beverages at its bars.
A second casino is scheduled to open in 2019, which will be called Crown Sydney. The Interactive Gambling Act forbids Australian casinos from functioning on Australian ground, while the Gaming Machine Act and the Casino Control Act regulate online casinos registered in other countries. Sydney boasts one of the best casinos in the country, The Star (known as Star City in a previous life). While it enjoyed the monopoly of gambling action in Sydney, in 2019 it sets to lose its exclusivity as James Packer (CEO of Crown) opens his latest Crown casino. While there aren't any specific laws in NSW governing online gambling, the New South Wales Casino Authority regulates land-based casinos like The Star in Sydney.
